It has been a strong start to the season for the Montana Grizzlies. Griz football has built up momentum in the past few weeks, starting with the huge win over the Washington Huskies earlier this month. The Griz obliterated Western Illinois soon after that at Washington Grizzly stadium. After a restful bye week, the Griz returned to WA/GRIZ this past weekend to proceed to mop the floor with Cal Poly. But, now the Grizzlies are gearing up for one of the toughest teams in the Big Sky Conference. The Griz are looking to take the game on the road, to meet up with the Eastern Washington Eagles in Cheney, WA.

This matchup is so big that it is going primetime. This Saturday's upcoming game will be airing on ESPN 2, which will be the first time a Big Sky Conference regular-season game has been featured on the national stage.

According to Montanasports.com

With kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. (MT), Montana versus Eastern Washington is set to be one of the last college football games in the nation that weekend. As of 2018, approximately 86 million television households in America – over 93-percent of households with pay TV – have ESPN 2 as part of their cable or satellite package.

As we look ahead at the big game this Saturday, EWU fans are preparing for a game on their home field. The Eastern Washington social media pages are encouraging fans to wear all black to the game. Creating a "blackout" at the game. Some Griz fans were quick to reply to the request for a "black out."
