Get Elevated – New Rooftop Bar Coming Soon to Missoula
They say that elevation always plays a part in how you are affected by alcohol. For folks here in Montana that are used to drinking in higher elevations, drinking closer to sea level might make it hard to catch a buzz. I tested this theory while on a trip to Mexico. I noticed that it was taking double the amount of cerveza and tequila shots for me to catch a buzz. Don't argue, it's science.
This argument reminds me of one of my favorite scenes from the movie "Beerfest." In this scene the main characters are training for a beer drinking competition. They try to increase their tolerance to alcohol by drinking on the roof of their house.
If you enjoy drinking on roof tops, then you are in luck. Missoula will soon have a brand new roof top bar opening in the next few weeks.
According to the Missoulian
the very top of the building will open at the AC Hotel downtown at 175 N. Pattee Street sometime in June.
The 7R Bar is so named because you have to take the elevator to the 7th floor, which is the rooftop of the six-story hotel, to get there. When the doors open, you walk outside to wide-open sights of the entire city and valley.
What better way to enjoy the scenery and beauty of downtown Missoula, than from your elevated drinking area. The 7R Bar will offer 360 degree views of Missoula. Plus, you don't have to be staying at the AC Hotel to gain access to the roof top bar. The bar is aiming at opening Memorial Day weekend, or soon afterwards.
