It's going to be quite a Griz sports day on the University of Montana campus. We'd better call your bosses and get you the afternoon off.

The University of Montana Grizzly volleyball team will be hosting a free exhibition match against North Dakota Friday, August 23, beginning at noon. This is in conjunction with the Great Griz Encounter beginning at 5:30 p.m. that day, the annual chance to meet Griz football and volleyball players, get autographs, enjoy food and beverages and shop for new Griz logo wear. There is no admission charge to the Great Griz Encounter in Washington-Grizzly Stadium.

Immediately following the Montana-North Dakota volleyball match, the players and coaches will host a free kids' clinic for all girls and boys in sixth grade or below. While it's free, it is limited to the first 40 participants and advanced registration is required. You can check here to see if there is still any availability.

While the Griz volleyball team will now be playing their home matches in at Dahlberg Arena in the Adams Center, the exhibition against UND will be in the West Auxiliary Gym, as Dahlberg's playing surface is getting some work done to it.

Good luck to Griz Volleyball and we hope you can be there with the kiddos to cheer them on.
