Players, fans, businesses, and the community..........we're all missing Griz football this fall. I guess if we can't have a  season we'll at least take a little exciting news when it comes to a former member of the Griz.  We had fun the last couple of years as we watched linebacker Dante Olson pile up the stats, win awards, and break records. We've kept an eye on his quest to play in the NFL since the end of last year's Griz playoff run.

After failing to get picked in the NFL Draft, Olson quickly signed with the Philadelphia Eagles and attended training camp with the hope of making the roster. A lot of media predictions gave him a good chance of finding a place on the team despite COVID-19 eliminating preseason games where rookies get a chance to showcase their skills. The NFL dream would have to wait for Olson, by the end of August he was waived by the Eagles as they finalized their roster before the start of the season.

But with all the turnover and craziness in the game of football - you're only ever an injury away from playing.......or in this case......getting on the practice squad.

The Eagles had Dante Olson in on Tuesday for a workout as they looked to make roster adjustments. That was followed by news this morning that the undrafted free agent would be slipping on the Philadelphia jersey once again as he rejoined the team that gave him his first taste of the NFL during training camp.

We might not have a Griz game coming up for the weekend - but maybe we'll see 'ol #33 playing on Sundays before we know it. We're all excited to see what Dante Olson will do as he gets a second chance to fly in Philly.
