Donald Glover is finally joining the Spider-Man cinematic universe.

Back in 2010 the rapper and Community actor became a fan favorite to play Peter Parker in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man. The #Donald4Spiderman campaign got so huge that comic creator Stan Lee even supported Glover as a choice for the lead role. He may not have been able to play Spidey, but now Glover will finally get to appear in the Spider-Man cinematic universe.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Glover is in talks for a mysterious role in Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming. The movie will follow Tom Holland as a young Peter Parker in high school and also star Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Michael Keaton as a villain, Tony Revolori, Zendaya and Kenneth Choi as the school principal. Robert Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark will also appear in the movie, which will be directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) with a script by Vacation duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein.

Glover won’t be totally new to the Spidey universe, though. The actor voiced half-black, half-Latino Spider-Man Miles Morales for one season of Disney XD’s Ultimate Spider-Man animated series. Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7, 2017.
