Back on the 18th of June around 12:22 in the morning, a police officer for the Missoula police department drove by the Elks Club to find an "unconscious and unresponsive" man on the street. The officer did the best he could to revive the male until the ambulance arrived and took him to St. Patricks Hospital where he later died.

According to the official police press release:

"Through investigative effort, the Missoula Police Department has determined that the victim, Angelo Fuentes, was involved in an altercation with another male, and knocked to the ground.  Investigation has also revealed that there were several as yet unidentified persons, in the immediate area, that may have witnessed the altercation. "
