Sunday we changed the clocks ahead an hour for daylight savings.

Did you remember to reset your clocks?

The implementation of Daylight Saving Time has been the subject of controversy since Benjamin Franklin conceived of the idea. Even today, regions and countries routinely change their approaches to Daylight Saving Time. In the U.S. for example, Arizona doesn’t observe Daylight Saving Time. The main reason for Daylight Saving Time is to make better use of daylight, but lots of people hate dealing with Daylight Saving Time. Some complain about the inconvenience of changing tons of clocks and adjusting to a new sleep schedule. For most people, the process is really just a nuisance and work productivity actually decreases as we try to adjust to the time change. Even farmers feel the frustration because some animals like chickens and cows don't adapt to the time change for several weeks. Not to mention, many parents feel the time change results in early morning dangers because children are less visible as they cross roads and wait for school buses in the darkness. Some people have recommend a compromise of sorts where clocks would be set one-half hour forward year round.

What do you think? Is Daylight Saving Time a thing of the past? If you could would you do away with Daylight Saving Time or keep it?
