With June just around the corner, I thought it would be nice to share a recipe for all the brides-to-be out there. These little mints are a traditional wedding snack, and are something easy a bride can make to save a little dough. There are lots of other things a bride could use money for, a little extra money for the honeymoon, a new pair of shoes or even just a little extra money to help pay for the big day.

Cream Cheese Wedding Mints

4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature

16 ounces powdered sugar

1/8 teaspoon peppermint, amaretto or your favorite flavor

gel food coloring of your choice

sugar

mint molds

Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and your favorite flavor together in a food processor just until combined. Add the flavoring and mix a little more. Taste mix to see if it has the desired flavor, if not, add a little flavoring at a time until desired flavor is reached. Now process the mixture until it becomes a stiff dough. Add gel food coloring one drop at a time until desired color is reached. You can always add more powdered sugar if the dough starts to get sticky while processing in the color. Roll the dough into small balls and then coat them by rolling them in the  sugar. Now press the ball into the mold, and then flip the mold over and release the mint. Repeat until all the dough is gone.
