27 Children have been removed from the Ranch for Kids in Rexford, Montana by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.

Lincoln County Sheriff Darren Short said his deputies, along with personnel from the Montana Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation carried out a summary license suspension order at the Ranch for Kids.

The Lincoln County District Court ordered the children to be removed due to ‘allegations of egregious physical and psychological child abuse and neglect’.

The children were removed safely and without incident and are now in the custody of the DPHHS.
