The quarantine was rough on all of us. Especially when it comes to our mid sections. The quarantine 15 was what people were calling it. But, it was more like the quarantine 20 or 30. Thankfully, everyone was affected. So, the thought of not having the perfect summer beach bod this year, hasnt been torture.

Today just so happens to be one of those days when you can throw all your nutritional cares to the wind and belly up to the bar for some junk food. Today is National Junk Food Day. A day dedicated to the art of eating snacks. But, what snacks to eat is the big hang up. There are so many to choose from. Do we chow down on chips, pizza rolls, candy bars or cookies?

Zippia.com crunched the numbers to find out what each states favorite snack food was. According to their website.

Using Google Trends, we determined which states were the most avid fans of each snack. We examined 45 different favorite snacks, given us a wide range of beloved foods.

We, being sane reasonable humans, excluded gum and sodas from our pretend vending machine snack roulette.

We then selected a range of popular chips, cookies, candies, and a few other vending machine favorites.

In the end. All the "ITOS" (doritos, fritos, tostitos) made the list for popular snacks in every state. Also sweet snacks are more popular than salty in a majority of the states.

But as for our favorite snack here in the Treasure State? Montana is the only state to prefer Rice Krispy Treats over all other junk food snacks. So get to baking up a batch and enjoy National Junk Food Day.
