If you missed the heart-wrenching news, Missoula's iconic Carlo's One Night Stand is closing up shop at the end of 2021 and moving select inventory to an online shop. The wonderfully unique and eclectic thrift shop has been a Missoula staple since 1979, with their most popular time of the year being Halloween. Owner Max Gilliam is downsizing a LOT in preparation for closing the shop at the end of December, and that means offering huge discounts on a large inventory, including costumes.

Theater folks, Halloween enthusiasts, and vintage lovers alike are flocking to the Missoula Fairgrounds this weekend for "Carlo's Halloween and Vintage Rummage Sale." Find it at the Floriculture Building this Saturday, October 23rd, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, October 24th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. only. The Floriculture Building is also known at building #15, see map below.

The Go-Go boots they pictured are the EXACT ones I wanted for my wedding, but better 22 years late than never, right? Whether you're looking for a specific costume, need some ideas, or just want some really rad vintage wear, this is your jam. I know they've got a ton of hats and wigs, too, get it while you can! Oh, and JACKETS, Carlo's has always had the best jackets.

The Carlo's Etsy shop can be found here, so bookmark that for future reference. I'll see you at the Fairgrounds, here's a note from the man himself regarding this weekend's sale.

I want to thank you for your support during the last four decades and I hope I will see you at the fairgrounds on the 22-24 Oct.
Sincerely, Max Gilliam
