After a string of sold out shows, performing at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a packed festival schedule, and a Mid-West/East Coast summer tour BoomBox will continue to travel coast to coast with a extensive fall tour. In the midst of touring, they are finding the time to work on their third release, currently using the working title “Lost Ya” due out later this fall. The EP will include all new tracks and is being recorded using a blend of electronic programming and live instrumentation with Randolph on keys and Godchaux on guitar, bass and vocals and both performing drums on various tracks.

Zion Rock Godchaux and Russ Randolph are both producers and multi-instrumentalists. They both bring diverse musical backgrounds containing a rich history from Muscle Shoals, AL. They had a vision for a unique sound and culture that only could be achieved together.

BoomBox creates a digital blend of Southern rock & roll made to connect people with a vintage mix of Motown and psychedelic dance beats. Using a multi-track platform, they are free to create their sound on the fly with a rhythm that moves the people and opens eyes into Godchaux and Randolph’s way of life.

Each live show is unique to the venue and the crowd, who are the driving force of the live, rhythmic BoomBox experience. Since there is no set list, it’s about taking in what is presented to them that night, and serving the music to that group of people, for that experience. It’s about what feels right and making each note play for the better of the music.
