Bitterrooters Can Donate Extra Halloween Candy to the Troops
This is the ninth year in Hamilton that there's a good place to get rid of your leftover or extra Halloween candy. Canyon View Dental has teamed up again with Operation Gratitude to send candy to troops who are stationed away from their homes. The folks at Canyon View are buying unopened treats for $2 a pound from November 1 to November 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Doctors Stacey and Justin Simmons said that they collected over 100 pounds last year. The Hamilton UPS Store has joined in the effort by again donating the shipping to Operation Gratitude.
Dr. Simmons said, "It's a sweet way to show our troops how much our children support them for what they are doing for our country." The staff at the dental office noticed that many of the kids were excited to donate their candy. Canyon View Dental is at 710 North First Street in Hamilton, across from McDonalds. Their motto: It's no trick, we want your treats!
