The Missoula County Attorney’s Office filed 11 new criminal complaints this week. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says four of those cases involved violence and three of those four were partner or family member assaults.

“One of those cases involved two counts of partner or family member assault and two counts of cruelty to animals,” Pabst said. “We charged one assault with a weapon case that was not family related. In that case, the defendant allegedly hit his roommate over the head with a large stick or pool cue, causing some fairly significant injuries.”

According to Pabst, her office also charged three endangerment crimes.

“One of those was a criminal endangerment in which the defendant’s car overturned on North Higgins in front of Charlie B’s,” Pabst said. “There was allegedly alcohol on board and she was charged with DUI. Rounding out that category, we charged two felony DUI cases. We charged four drug cases, two methamphetamine and two heroin cases.”

Pabst says she is still working on the Missoula County Attorney’s Office Annual Report for 2019. She hopes to be done with that report in the next week or so. You can view the 2018 report right here.
