38 year-old Ethan Swafford is in the Missoula County Jail charged with several felonies, including escape, assaulting a peace officer, and possession of drugs, such as methamphetamine and Tramadol.

Deputy Missoula County Attorney Amber Henning originally asked Judge Marie Anderson that Swafford's bond be set at $100,000.

"This is the third open felony case for the defendant," Henning said. "In this case, he was arrested after having absconded from PSI process after pleading guilty to two other open felony cases. Henning said Swafford had numerous drugs when he was arrested.

"The defendant had meth, Tramadol pills, a meth pipe and baggies on him in a jail inventory search," she said.

Judge Anderson set Swafford's bail at $75,000 and remanded Swafford back to the jail, His next court appearance will be October 31.
