7 Rules A Zombie in Missoula Must Follow

On November 2nd, the Zombie Apocalypse will finally occur in our quaint little town.

It's Missoula's first Zombie Walk in conjunction with the Festival of the Dead presented by the Opus Aima Obscuræ Temple & Foxglove Productions. According to the official Facebook event page, "the bloodshed will begin at the XXXX’s ~ gathering from 3pm onward!"

Zombies will be walking directly after the Day of the Dead parade (parade begins at 7pm), ending at Caras Park. Makeup artists will be on hand! Please bring nonperishable food items for the Food Bank (organic food is great; no brains or limbs accepted) or a $5 donation. If you are a makeup artist (even if it's your first time doing makeup), please feel free to volunteer your services!

The event will feature live music from DJ Erastaroth, DJ HAuLi and DJ Raven along with prizes for the best costume.

Stay In character when walking (you may only break character to cross the street in a timely fashion.) - No holding up traffic!

KILL! KILL! KILL! But get permission first.

Do not attack the unwilling living. Please be respectful of people who are simply observing the parade. Don’t scare little kiddos! Don’t approach people who do not want to be approached. If someone appears frightened, back off and keep walking. Please don’t touch anyone while walking, unless you know them!

RUN! RUN! RUN! Just look both ways before crossing..

Obey Traffic Laws. We don’t want any Zombies to be ticketed or arrested during our stroll.

EAT BRAINS! But pack a sack lunch beforehand.

Please be respectful of all businesses. Don’t keep people from entering or exiting any storefront we may pass. Do not enter any business along our route until we have finished the walk. If you need beverages or snack to bring along with you, buy them beforehand.

GET BLOODY! But bring a towel.

Be careful with fake blood and other makeup that may stain. We don't want to leave a bloody mess. NO bloody handprints on public walls. Take care of all your makeup needs prior to coming to the walk OR get makeup done at the pre-gathering in exchange for a donation to the Missoula Food Bank. Get outrageous with your costume!!

No, alcohol, fire or weapons; these are not permitted during the Walk, y’all.
