Here's a really cool event! Every year, Missoula Aging Services puts together its Wear It Again Jewelry Sale. Basically, people donate all kinds of jewelry to MAS all year long, and then they put on a big, all-day sale for it with all the proceeds going to help out services that benefit the older residents of Missoula, like Meals on Wheels or Senior Companions. Pretty good deal, right?

The 6th Annual Wear It Again Jewelry Sale is taking place this Saturday, June 1st from 8 AM to 3:30 PM at St. Anthony Church, located at 217 Tremont Street. Here's some info from their website:

"This sale is the community's biggest sale of pre-owned jewelry and includes fine and costume jewelry, vintage pieces, watches, men's and children's jewelry, Western jewelry and more. All pieces are cleaned, categorized, tagged and displayed in a well-organized setting, creating a fun shopping experience. This year we’re also adding a Silent Auction! Take a break from shopping and bid for a chance to win packages including a Flathead Lake Sailboat Excursion, Griz Fan Collection, and an exquisite sapphire and diamond necklace!

Many people join together to produce this unique opportunity to help support older adults in our community. To all who donate jewelry and/or volunteer to prepare and run the sale, thank you! Last year you raised over $25,000 to support older adults and those who care for them, promoting independence, dignity and health for all.

We accept donations of jewelry all year; simply drop off your treasures at our office at 337 Stephens Ave. between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you're unable to get to our office, call us at 728-7682 and we will arrange to pick up your donation!"
