Last year, I was in Caras Park for the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure Missoula, a fundraising effort to help raise money for breast cancer research. The energy there was electrifying, as everyone involved was committed to the cause and excited to be there for the race. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which means it's time for the Race For The Cure to come back.

Susan G. Komen has set the goal to reduce the number of breast cancer deaths by 50% by 2026. But to do that, they need all the help they can get. So if you feel like racing and helping to raise some money, then you should participate! It's happening at Caras Park on October 12th - the race kicks off at 9:00 AM, though the festivities will be happening for a couple of hours before that. Online registration ends on Monday, though you can register in person on the day of if you want.

So far they've cleared almost $7000 of their $25,000 goal. Here's the link to their website, where you can donate, register, and get whatever other info you need.
