The Celtic Festival downtown Missoula is always a highlight of the summer in Missoula and it is coming up this weekend. The schedule this year consists of all the fun on one day, Saturday, July  28th. The day begins with Road Bowling from 9 a.m. to Noon taking place near Florence, Montana. The fee is $20 per team and you're encouraged to wear team shirts to be festive.

At noon the music is scheduled to begin at Caras Park where most of the festivities are taking place. Here is the schedule of Performance Times according to the Celtic Festival website:

12:00 – Celtic Dragon

12:30 – The Missoula Irish Dancers

1:15 – Floating Crowbar with Haren Irish Dancers

2:40– Red Hair / Freckle Contest Winners announced

2:45 – Celtic Dragon and the Highland Dancers

3:30– The Haran Irish Dancers

4:20 – Road Bowling Winners Announced

4:30 – Missoula Irish Dancers

5:30 – Stout Pounders

7:15 – Screaming Orphans

9:00 – Seven Nations

The Celtic Festival is free to attend but there are tons of vendors open during the festival so make sure to bring extra cash to take home some souvenirs. And if you're planning to enjoy some adult beverages while at the festival please plan your sober ride home now. Remember Taxi's, Uber, or Lyft would all be an excellent plan.
