Rumors abound on Facebook that the legendary Irish pub in downtown Missoula is turning over a new clover...er, LEAF and changing the theme of the venue well known for it's live music and St. Patricks Day festivities.

According to a recent shared post on the local band Greenstar's Fan Page, Sean Kelly's IS for sale. This we've known for some time as it's been public knowledge for the past couple of months. But that has not stopped a swarm of people that frequent the bar from speculating that the place will soon become a sports bar.Yes or BS? BS...for now...

We reached out to the bar manager on Tuesday night and they had no comment on what the future holds for Sean Kelly's. While they did confirm the bar is "under contract to sell", they did NOT speculate on if they will become a sports bar or changing direction anytime in the near future.

Still, for Greenstar to state that Sean Kelly's will be "gone forever" may indicate that a new direction is possibly on the horizon. Could that mean the end of live music? A non-Irish atmosphere? And how will this effect, if at all, Stone of Accord (Sean Kelly's spin-off pub located on Reserve Street)? Only the future, and its future owners will tell...

Over To You: Let's say you had the money to afford to buy Sean Kelly's...what would YOU do with the establishment? Would you keep the familiar Irish theme or go in a new direction? What are your thoughts on the rumored sports bar? Sound off in the comments below....
