If you're like me, you've been wondering if Lady Gaga has dropped off the face of the Earth. Besides the news surrounding Lady Gaga cancelling her Born This Way Ball tour, media about the celebrity has been kept to a minimum. No new songs have come out recently, gossip-worthy outfits have been kept to a minimum, and she didn't even have a presence at the Grammy Awards this year. So what has the pop star been up to?

    Singing to the President

Lady Gaga headlined with jazz legend Tony Bennett at President Obama's staff ball. During this second night of inaugural partying at the White House, thousands of Obama staffers witnessed the duo performing songs such as, "The Lady is a Tramp" and an impromptu rendition of "Sign, Sealed, Delivered" as President Obama took the stage. Lady Gaga has confirmed that she and Tony Bennett will be collaborating on a jazz album.

Getting Sued for $380,000 (Plus Damages!)

Jennifer O’Neil, Personal Assistant to Lady Gaga from 2009-2011, is claiming that the singer made her work 7,000 hours extra, without any overtime pay. Lady Gaga insists that O'Neil was aware that she doesn't pay any of her employees overtime. O'Neil was already making a $70,000 salary, and moreover, was supposedly Lady Gaga's best friend. On Feb 2, 2013 Gaga tweeted:

Everyone's headlines need an updating. "former assistant" is actually "my best friend from NY since I was 19." Painful stuff.

Apparently, even being a best friend can't save you from a six-hour ranting testimony from the Fame Monster. Lady Gaga didn't keep her poker face when she called O'Neil a "f—ing hood rat who is suing me for money that she didn't earn.”

    Selling a Perfume

Lady Gaga came out with her first fragrance, Fame, in September 2012. Like its creator, Fame is unique in more ways than one. Probably the most notable feature is its color. Fame's liquid is black, but turns invisible once it touches skin. According to the packaging, "It’s black like the soul of fame, but invisible once airborne." As Lady Gaga mentioned in a tweet on Feb 8, Fame has already sold over 30 million bottles and is the eighth most successful brand for the year.

    Making a New Album

Fans everywhere were disappointed when Lady Gaga had to cancel the rest of her Born This Way Ball tour due to a hip tear. But don't worry Little Monsters, Lady Gaga is about to release her new album, "ARTPOP." Although there is not a set release date, it is predicted to be released sometime later this spring. The album looks promising. It is being produced by RedOne, DJ White Shadow, Fernando Garibay, and EDM artist Zedd. Getting on Film

Lady Gaga has announced that she is teaming up with photographer Terry Richardson to create a documentary about herself. The photographer has worked with many celebrities in the past, and has been accused of taking photos that are too provocative. He and Gaga first worked together when he took behind-the-scenes photos at her performances in 2010 and 2011. The documentary does not yet have a release date, but fans can still see their favorite performer on the big screen in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete Kills," a feature action film set to come out Sept 3, 2013.
