It's getting to that time of year. Fall is coming next week, and with it, the leaves are going to start changing. This will be my first Autumn in Montana after a lifetime in New York, so I'm wondering: where is the best foliage in the state?

According to this foliage guide I found that breaks down every state, Western Montana tends to peak in early October, while Central Montana is usually towards the end of September. Yellow and gold tend to be the dominant colors.

But is there anywhere in Montana that I just have to see when the leaves change? And when's the best time to go there? If you've got some suggestions, let me know!
