Most families probably have this, right? That one dish that you're able to whip out every Thanksgiving. The one that's so good, that you only make once a year, and that no one else knows how to make but you.

My dad used to make these great mashed potatoes every year that were always my favorite. I have no idea what was in them but I've never had another dish of mashed potatoes that tasted like them. Likewise, my aunt has this awesome cheesecake that I look forward to every year and always eat way too much of.
