Students from 21 Montana and Idaho high schools will be in Missoula for the annual Model United Nations Conference.

The 53rd annual gathering with be this Monday and Tuesday, November 19-20 at the University of Montana's University Center. At the conference, 312 students will represent 110 of the United Nations' 193 member states. They will be divided into five committees staffed by a team of UM students and faculty.

As Paul Harvey used to say, it is not one world. Such diversified cultures and values. This must be an awesome learning experience for outstanding high school students to portray representatives of countries from around the world.  Maybe they can show they're better negotiators and how to get along better than the grownups, huh? If only I could get one of them to represent AkDENNYstan.

In any event, it will be wonderful to have such an event in Missoula and we wish them lots of success.
