It's hard for the Greek system to stay out of the public eye, or the media, as of late. As the president of a chapter at the University of Montana, it's also hard to tell people that not all sororities and fraternities are what movies, Hollywood, and the media want you to believe them to be. One college sorority made sure to shut down any stereotypes once and for all.

The Delta Upsilon chapter at Baldwin Wallace University was trending on Facebook this week, and for good reason. An empowering photo album created by courageous young women portray a strong and powerful message to Greeks and beyond.

We are not 'just another sorority.'" All of our sisters go above and beyond what society expects from us. We know what matters, and we care about each sister as an individual. Take a quick look into our album and see what makes this sisterhood unique. Each sister took a picture and explained how society perceives them to be, rather than who they REALLY are as human beings.

Whether you believe the stereotypes or not, these sorority women took it upon themselves to send a fresh, new message to the world. I hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I did. This post just goes to show that words are a powerful thing.
