At this point I don't know what I would do if I didn't have her at home when I walk through the door to give me a hug. To be honest, I had totally forgot but thanks to Facebook memories we realized it has now been two years since we picked Gypsy up from Oregon.

She was a rescue out of Texas and we linked up with her through the amazing Northwest Boxer Rescue organization. She was a mom of 8 if I remember correctly, they called her Mama of the Texas 8.

She has been so courageous, including her battle with Heart worms when she first joined our family. Luckily it only took one bout of treatment and she was healthy. Those few months were very tough as she wasn't allowed much exercise during that period. But she is in perfect health now, and loves to run and play fetch with her rescue brother Koda-Friend.

My wife (Savannah) and I feel so fortunate to have Gypsy in our lives, and yes to celebrate both dogs did get a small ice cream cone from Dairy Queen. Which was devoured in record setting time. :)
