Truck – Motorcycle Crash Results in Fatality at Missoula Intersection [AUDIO]
A collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle Friday night, September 6, has resulted in the death of the motorcyclist.
Sergeant Rick Stevenson of the Missoula Police Department said late Friday night, that the incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of South 3rd West and Reserve Street.
"Upon arrival, officers observed the two vehicles involved, an older model pickup truck and a motorcycle, were still in the intersection," Stevenson said. "The 34 year-old motorcyclist was deceased at the scene. The 73 year-old driver of the pickup truck was uninjured and was cooperating with the ongoing investigation."
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the fatal accident to contact Detective Mark Blood at 552-6281, or Detective J.C. Denton at 552-6292.
The name of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending the notification of his family.
