I was a bad kid. I did some awful things to myself and to others around me when I was younger. I've been in jail, did drugs, hung out with the lowest of low people, basically screwed my entire life up. And somehow by the grace of God I survived and came out stronger on the other end. This story is another example of how miracles can happen when you make the decision to change your ways.

A retired meth dealer and user by the name of Randy Burnett was once convicted and jailed in Montana and various other states across the nation for a total of 16 years.

But when Burnett was released from prison six years ago, the former felon decided to finally turn his life around.  He now volunteers for HIV Alliance, and actually runs their needle exchange collection program.

Randy collects about 2,000 used syringes a week from drop-off boxes around the city.  While driving his route, he also delivers supplies to the city's IV-drug users . . . including hygiene items, safe-sex kits, and safe-injection kits.
