It's still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that this weekend is Christmas! Thankfully I have an amazing wife who has already completed all the shopping, all gifts are wrapped, and we are organized going into the crazy busy weekend. With my parents divorcing when I was a kid, I won't be with all my family but I get to see most of them. And luckily with the help of technology I will be able to call or video message with the ones that I won't see in person.

Savannah and I are traveling back to Seattle this weekend to spend the holiday weekend with our families and yes the time will go by quickly, it always does. But there are some things that I am really looking forward to when I get to see my family this weekend.

1. Spending time with all my nieces and nephews. I feel like I never see them so to be able to enjoy some time with those cute kids will be exactly what I want for Christmas. To be able to enjoy that time and actually see their faces light up when they are opening gifts, that is truly what life is all about.

2. Now I am just being greedy, but I am truly looking forward to watching my Seattle Seahawks play on Christmas Eve with my brothers and dad. I don't even remember the last time we all watched a game together but we will have that opportunity on Christmas Eve while food is cooking. Unfortunately one of my brothers won't be able to make it, but I did get my best friend to travel down and spend the holiday with my family.

I couldn't be more excited to be with family this weekend and being able to create more great memories. The older I get the more I notice that times like this don't come around all that often, so it is important to enjoy the time while we do have it.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
