The Badlander on Facebook

Local owners of The Badlander continue to pay homage to their late friend and partner, Aaron Bolton, with an upcoming three day celebration and generous donation. Owner Scott MacIntyre would like us to share the following:

The Badlander’s inaugural event; Saudade, will take place at the Badlander Complex in Missoula, MT over the course of three days (August 18-20, 2016) and two stages. Saudade, pronounced so-oh-D-UH-d-j-ee, is the lingering memory of someone or something that is an integral part of yourself. Saudade is in commemoration of late owner, Aaron Bolton, who devoted his life to art and music and is, to this day, an integral part of the Badlander complex. Upon the event, we will be donating $10,000 on behalf of Aaron and his family, to Create Missoula; a non-profit that funds youth music projects and allows for Missoula Public School students to connect with the arts. Create Missoula is founded by Missoula music education icon, John Combs, who had not only been Aaron’s high school music teacher, but mentor as well. We are extremely grateful and excited to partner with this wonderful program!

With headliners from Lee Fields & The Expressions to Red Fang to Laila McQueen from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Saudade ensures you have never seen live music quite like this! We have three days filled with a wide array of entertainment with free entertainment offered to the public during the day and art and music in the evening. We encourage and welcome everyone to join us in this inaugural celebration of life, art, and music!

What an awesome tribute to Aaron and extremely generous donation toward music and the arts in our community by The Badlander! The full line up for each day is as follows.
