Here is part two in our series of The 5 Missoula People on Facebook You Really Should "Like". Get caught up on our previous recommendations by checking out last years article here.

If you haven't added these local Facebook profiles to your friends list then you are truly missing out on the best status updates in all of Missoula. Not a day goes by where I am not compelled to visit these particular people and pages on this social network. These individuals (in no particular order) are funny, informative and simply the best of what this town has to offer. If you are homegrown native, or someone who just moved into town, these are the friends you need to add today:

1. Jill Valley

One of the most recognized faces on Missoula television is also the most real and down to earth people on Facebook you'll ever friend. Sure, you'll get news when it breaks. After all, that's what she's best known for! But then there are many moments where she lets her true self shine through. Who can forget the time she walked us through her journey of battling breast cancer? And most recently when she announced to the world that she's finally engaged to her longtime sweetheart? Jill is a warmhearted mainstay in our community and someone who's status updates you should not miss.

2. Colin hickey

Colin is quite the multi-tasker. His missoulaevents.net website keeps him glued to his computer as he continues to enter the constant stream of area happenings, all the while with his Facebook tab open to post often relevant, other times completely out of left field updates. Sometimes I'll catch him posting the craziest throwback music videos in the middle of the night, other times he'll reminisce on the good ol' times that have come and gone throughout Missoula (I recently saw him gushing about Jays Upstairs! Awesome.). Mr. Hickey has been a long time Missoulian with a vast knowledge of the area nightlife. He is definitely one to friend.

3. Testy festy

While dormant for the first few months of the year, the official Testicle Festival Facebook profile starts to heat up the closer we get to the annual event. Bear in mind, some photos may not be suitable for work (after all, it IS the wildest adult party in the state) but if you are simply counting the minutes until you can finally let loose, then this profile should help pass the time.

Update: Seems the official profile has reached it's 5,000 friends limit. If you didn't make the cut, then try their alternative profile.

4. amber albert

Warning: Amber's posts may not be for the faint at heart.
This anonymous Facebooker has been known to shake up the system. So much so that I wouldn't be surprised if the government is keeping a close eye on this local whistle blower. From shady politics to conspiracy theories galore, this profile is designed to make you think twice about the world we are living in and perhaps be a bit more appreciative that we truly are living in the "last best place".

5. pastor russ smith

He's the kind of pastor that can relate to all ages. He's not too old, and yet not too young. Just right. And while the occasional bible verse will make it's way into his updates, it's not enough to scare most non-religious people away. I often refer to his daily statuses as kind of like that calender you have in your office that offers up a new inspirational quote to help get you through the day. Join Russ on his daily adventures throughout his personal family life, his constant efforts for his community and his mission to be remain positive in an often negative world.

Currently, Missoula has over 45,000 active Facebook users, so I'm certain I'm missing out on a few others that deserve to make this unofficial list. Who would you add? Let us know in the comments below.
