Get ready for a major storm that’s going to bring us lots of lyrical precipitation. Independent king Tech N9ne just announced that he’s dropping his 11th solo effort, The Storm, in the fall.

On Saturday (April 16), the 44-year-old CEO of Strange Music went on his Instagram account to tell fans to prepare themselves for inclement weather -- at least musically -- in September.

"I don't fit the part for mainstream cause I'm rougher only time they wanna look like me is Halloween mutha f---a! (I GET IT NOW) THE STORM, 9/9/16," he wrote in the caption of a photo featuring him in his signature war paint.

No additional information was provided.

Tech N9ne's last album, Special Effects, was released in May 2015. The collection featured a collaboration with Eminem called "Speedom (WWC2)."

The Kansas City, Mo. native said that being a successful independent artist for over 15 years has made him immortal in the rap game. "I’ve seen so much, man, with MCs rising to fame and then plummeting," he said. "[However], we’re still on the incline and there’s still awareness and Tech N9ne’s still growing and growing after all these years.”

You can see Tech N9ne perform live in concert on his Independent Powerhouse tour. Peep his itinerary below.
