According to The World Forum, there are 1.2 billion youth in the world aged 15 to 24. They comprise 17% of the world's population and 40% of the world's unemployed. As summer begins here in Montana, the the unemployment rate for youth age 16 to 24 ranges from 14% to just over 22%.
A new set of unemployment numbers have hit the presses, and it looks like Montana is on a stronger footing this month. The state's unemployment rate dropped 0.2 points to 6.2 % while the national rate dipped 0.3% to 7.8%.

The National Unemployment numbers for February were recently released and the country average was around Eight Point Three Percent, but Montana is doing a lot better. Unemployment numbers are down for the state of Montana for a seventh straight month.
