City and county emergency services are prepared for possible thunderstorms and high winds which are forecast to hit western Montana Friday evening. As rain starts to dribble down the KGVO window, the National Weather Service is already predicting damaging winds and isolated thunderstorms.

The power outages that hit Missoula on Monday were still being felt by many people two days later.

Tree limbs littered streets and damaged power lines as high speed winds rushed through Missoula causing all kinds of havoc around 6:30 yesterday evening.

Weather experts have been advising folks in the Missoula area that a serious combination of rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and hail are headed our way, however, forecaster Michelle Mead with the National Weather Service Office in Missoula says the main force of the storm is missing Missoula.
