The latest pieces of information picked up from Sony’s hacked internal e-mails have to do with Spider-Man—a character that’s in a bit of flux right now as Sony has been trying to sort out what to do next following the critical and commercial disappointment of ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2.’ As it turns out, Sony has indeed spoken with Marvel about a potential crossover, and that’s not all they’ve been planning to salvage the character.

There've been so many 'Spider-Man' movies, from Sam Raimi's Tobey Maguire-led trilogy to the rebooted run with Andrew Garfield, and the cinematic universe is about to expand even more with spinoffs for 'The Sinister Six,' 'Venom' and a female-led character. If there's one thing that the trailers for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' have shown us, it's that this movie is just going to be jam-packed full of stuff. A batch of newly released pics only serves as a reminder of just how much is going on in Marc Webb's sequel, which seems to be taking everything that was established in the first film and multiplying the craziness by 10.

The 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' trailer is here, and if you thought this was just going to be a teaser that would mildly hint at what's to come, you're wrong. This new trailer is chockfull of everything you want from a Spider-Man movie, including Rhino, Green Goblin and Electro, plus some preeeeetty interesting hints at what villains could be coming in 'Amazing Spider-Man 3.'

'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' hasn't even hit theaters yet, but Sony seems to be pretty happy with what they have on their hands. Why else would they hire the writers behind that film to pen 'The Amazing Spider-Man 3'?
