Student Athletes at the University of Montana are performing better than ever in the classroom, according to numbers just released by the UM Athletic Department.
The University of Montana Athletic department came out on top where it really counts, in the classroom, with 72 Academic All-Big Sky Conference selections in the spring semester.
47 student athletes from UM fall sports teams have received Academic All-Big Sky honors, extending a record of cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for student athletes for 11 and a half years.
Until this week, University of Montana's over 300 student athletes were on their own in finding a time and place to study between practices, travel and other athletic activities.

Tuesday evening, The University of Montana Department of Athletics and Copper Connection hosted the student-athletes' second-annual talent show, Griz Got Talent. The entire talent show was an entertaining combination of talents, skits and comedy featuring UM's sports teams and the coaches.
