Now that practically anyone can DJ on just their Mac with a home trial version of mixing software it seems that there has been a major paradigm shift in the way people perceive DJ’s.
A couple interesting things I noticed while observing the Missoula nightlife scene recently:
The Department of Justice finally revealed what it found during its more than year-long sexual assault investigation into The University of Montana.
A curious Missoula neighbor discovered a burglary in process this morning, May 8, at about 10:30.
As you meandered around Brewfest this weekend, did you notice the some sweaty athletes parading around in white shirts and neon powder smeared all over their bodies? No, there wasn't a unfortunate mishap during a grade school craft project. Rather, these individuals had just survived the excitement of the first ever Color Me Rad event in Missoula.
Looks like I found my new summer watering hole! Located in the upper portion of the Clark Fork river near the Old Milltown Dam and after a a massive clean up project, Governor Bullock officially gave the go ahead for floaters and boaters to hit the high rapids and enjoy a part of the river that had not been open to the public in over 100 years.
A local chapter of the Belegarth Medieval Combat society is hosting a public event at Bonner Park Saturday May 4th, 2pm.
Belegarth has been in Missoula for about 12 years that focuses on medieval combat and its practice. It’s a full contact sport using a hit system for scoring, similar to martial art tournaments. Their weapons are padded for the individuals’ safety and it allows the group to be accessible to most people because the weapons are pretty inexpensive.
The University of Montana recently debuted their new logo. According to the recent press release, our local college spent much time with consultants, both locally and from afar to re-brand the college and hope that the change of image will be a welcome sight to those who currently attend and those who may be interested in enrolling.
They're smoking hot. They've got brains. They have a wild side. And, you might want to sit down for this...they're unattached! These Missoula bachelorettes are the ones most men would love to introduce to their parents.
As we recently mentioned, we're defining bachelorettes as anyone who is not currently married. The most eligible part has been determined solely by how many times they were nominated by our readers. So, what you're saying is...we may still have a shot with these women?!?
Rather than the same perfume and fuzzy pink slippers that she’s grown to expect, just being with her beloved family on Mothers Day weekend is good enough to please almost any mom. And nothing says “I love you” more than taking her out for a little quality time together.
The summer movie season is almost upon us, and kicking it off what is sure to be the best lineup of films in recent years is Tony Stark and his high-flying superhero follow up to The Avengers. Iron Man 3 arrives locally at the Carmike Cinemas...and we have FREE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS.
