The Montana Pond Hockey Classic was supposed to occur this coming Friday and Saturday (January 19, 20) up near Kalispell, but deteriorating ice conditions in Western Montana led officials to cancel the event.

All proceeds from the night of fun will go to support Jason and his family.

Just last year, Jason and Liz DiMatteo stepped in and created the Missoula Junior Bruins. Now they are in need of help from the community they've given so much to.

When the Maulers were playing in Missoula, I went to quite a few games. Unfortunately since the Maulers morphed into the Bruins, my schedule has been difficult as far as going to see our home town hockey team play. Finally this past weekend I made it to Glacier Ice Rink to see them play, and boy was I glad I did...

Wow, wow, wow...what an experience! My first NHL game the Avalanche Vs. the Capitals in Denver at the Pepsi Center.

I didn't realize how great new skates felt! I have been riding on 80's hockey skates and it is so true that technology and design of hickey skates have come a long way.

Over the weekend our hometown Missoula Maulers had a huge weekend playoff series against the Southern Oregon Spartans. It was intense as soon as the puck dropped on Friday's best of three series game.

What a fun weekend it's going to be in Western Montana! At Dahlberg Arena and the Adams Center we have both Men and Women's Big Sky Basketball Tournaments going on. The St. Patrick's Day parade is happening downtown Missoula. And you can't forget about our hometown Missoula Maulers dropping the puck for some playoff hockey at the Glacier Ice Rink...
