Every Eddie Murphy and Dave Chappelle fan will remember Charlie Murphy; edgier stand-up comedian and source of the famous “True Hollywood Stories” that launched Chappelle’s Show into the stratosphere. Sadly, Charlie Murphy is no longer with us, having passed away at age 57.
Now that we have a little bit of distance from movies like Norbit and Meet Dave, it’s probably time to start thinking about an Eddie Murphy renaissance. In his day, Murphy has been an award-winning comedian, a movie star and a serious dramatic lead; a few bad decisions over the last decade should not be enough to unravel his talent as a perform
There are tons of hilarious Black movies. They’ve made three of the Barbershop movies, Kevin Hart can’t seem to stay out of theaters, and we could rattle off an endless array of Eddie Murphy quotes from films. But what are the best? What are the movies that you can’t go to any BBQ or hair salon without hearing quotes and references? There are almost too many to consider, but we whittled it down to ten. I remain unconvinced that we will ever see a Beverly Hills Cop 4. Beverly Hills Cop 3 came out in 1994 and made just $42 million in the U.S. against a $50 million budget. It was also terrible, although that last part has never stopped a studio from making further sequels before. But according to MacDonald, Thompson wasn’t originally supposed to be in the sketch: Eddie Murphy was.

Following a 31-year absence, Eddie Murphy will reportedly return to ‘SNL’ to ring in the NBC sketch comedy legend’s 40th anniversary.
'Beverly Hills Cop 4' seemed like one of those things that was fun to think about -- like 'Dredd 2' -- but would probably never happen. While rumors of it moving forward have been circulating the web for some time, Paramount has revealed that, yes, this will officially happen and has been given a release date for 2016.
Sources close to Academy Awards officials say comedian and actor Eddie Murphy is being considered to host the Oscars in February.
The move is seen as an effort to return to basics — in other words, have one funny act head up the entire ceremony. In years past, the Academy has experimented with different hosting ideas, culminating in the somewhat questionable move this year that saw actors James F
The big screen remake of the popular Hanna-Barbera ’70s-era Saturday morning cartoon ‘Hong Kong Phooey’ has just snagged a famous lead: Eddie Murphy will voice Penry, the anthropomorphic dog who lives a secret life as martial arts expert and number one super pooch Hong Kong Phooey.
