Several students across Montana will be graduating from high school soon. Montana’s Superintendent of Public Instruction Elsie Arntzen has a message for those students and all the people who helped them on their journey.

“Congratulations,”Arntzen said. “We want to make sure that you have been given skills for that pathway of learning all the way through. Congratulations to families who have given support, to teachers who have been along the way from the moment that you entered public school all the way until you cross that stage and get that diploma.”

Arntzen advocates that there are many options for students who are moving on to the next stage in their lives.

“Make sure that they can reflect on what they did do when they were housed within that public school box, but also say the sky is the limit,” Arntzen said. “The big sky is the limit. They can be ready for college, there is readiness in military, we have apprenticeships, technical degrees, two year degrees, certifications and even a combination of those because the sky is the limit.”

Arntzen says we can build Montana by building one student at a time.
