Spurgin Road Christmas Light Show Spectacular Returns [WATCH]
Dean Gingerich has done it again. His house at the end of Spurgin Road has once again been transformed into a multimedia Christmas spectacular.
Cars, trucks, vans, SUV's and even senior citizen tour buses will be headed to 4406 Spurgin Road to see two separate shows of computerized light displays set to music that can be heard on your car radio at 99.3 FM. Gingerich said his inspiration came from another Missoula family that had spectacular lights on South Avenue when his children were young. Now, Gingerich, a grandfather himself, spends weeks preparing for the shows that will air on the half-hour starting at 6:00 p.m.
"I have spent a month putting this together," Gingerich said. "It took about a week to put up all the hardware, and then another three weeks synchronizing everything with the computer. The music I buy from Amazon dot com, so there's no licensing problems."
Gingerich said there are two different shows.
We have one show on odd numbered nights and one on even nights," he said. "One of the shows this year is to honor veterans and its dedicated to them, and the other night is all about the movie Frozen. It's real popular right now, so we have one on the tree for the children who love Frozen."
The shows start at 6 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m. every half hour at 4406 Spurgin Road.
