The Missoula Public Works Committee has approved a two cent gas tax resolution in hopes of finding a new way to pay for Missoula’s sidewalks. As proposed, the tax would be split 60-40 between the city of Missoula and Missoula county, leaving the county free allocate the money to road development or use the buffer to decrease property taxes. In an interview with KGVO News, Council chairman Jason Weiner explains why he supports the tax.
