(Update: The clip has since been deleted)

The Sony hacking scandal has proven to be a massive headache for a company that’s already been having a rough few years. But now, this increasingly weird story has taken an even darker turn: the hackers are threatening to launch terrorist attacks against theaters showing ‘The Interview’ this Christmas.

Should they really be upset? After all, it's just a movie. Well, after you see the clip that portrays the death of their leader you might understand. This is more graphic than we could have imagined!

For context, here’s the message the hackers released:

Warning

We will clearly show it to you at the very time and places “The Interview” be shown, including the premiere, how bitter fate those who seek fun in terror should be doomed to.
Soon all the world will see what an awful movie Sony Pictures Entertainment has made.
The world will be full of fear.
Remember the 11th of September 2001.
We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time.
(If your house is nearby, you’d better leave.)
Whatever comes in the coming days is called by the greed of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
All the world will denounce the SONY.

After seeing the clip, we almost (keyword: ALMOST) understand why they would threaten us they way they did. Still, attempting to threaten the death of actual people over the death of a movie character is a bit over the top. Don't you agree?
