If you're looking for family friendly fun this weekend, the Science Circus is educational and a great time with hands on projects.

In the past, we've participated in eating meal worms, tye dyeing shirts, dissections, and a flaming gummy bears demonstration, just to name a few. All of the demonstrations are put on by high school students for middle and elementary school students.

The 9th annual Science Circus will be at the Big Sky High School gym and throughout the school, tonight (Friday, March 20th) from 6 - 8 p.m. and tomorrow (Saturday, March 21st) from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Admission is $3 per person, kids 4 and under and free.

According the press release from MCPS:

There are over 80 different stations for guests to visit and interact with high school “experts” and gain knowledge about various sub-units of science, including biology, chemistry, and physics. Demonstrations under these categories include: flaming gummy bears, multiple dissections, smoke ring cannon, a Velcro wall, and edible bugs to name a few.

This year at Science Circus, our Health Sciences Academy will be collaborating with spectrUM science center allowing the kids to physically walk through a life size brain expo and experience different neural functions.

This is a unique educational opportunity for kids of all ages and families within the Missoula and surrounding communities.
