A San Diego fisherman is lucky to be alive after a sea lion jumped into his boat and pulled him down to the bottom of the bay.

According to the San Diego Times, the 62-year-old man was posing for a picture with a fish he just caught, when a 300-pound sea lion jumped into his boat presumably to get the fish and bit the man's arm.

It then knocked him overboard and pulled him all the way down to the bottom of the bay about 20 feet. Fortunately, he was able to break free after nearly 20 seconds and struggled to the surface. He was taken to the hospital and treated for shock and cuts to his hands and feet.
