A 25 year-old man is in the Missoula County jail after allegedly stealing a car, then walked into the Super Wal-Mart on Saturday afternoon, asked to see a rifle and ran out of the store.

Sergeant Colin Rose with the Missoula police department says the man was apprehended after fleeing from authorities and crashing the vehicle on Spurgin Road.

The man has been charged with two felonies, strong-armed robbery and theft of a motor vehicle, as well as fleeing from police officers, a misdemeanor. Bail has been sat at $50,000 for each of the felonies, and just over $1,000 for the misdemeanor.

He will appear in Missoula justice court on Monday.
