At only 16-years-old, Lorde’s first World Wide hit single “Royals” (which she wrote in just 30 minutes!) is currently topping the iTunes Charts at number one beating out the likes of superstars such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Drake.
It was also recently announced the singer will have a track on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack called “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”.
This early success isn't going unnoticed by industry big wigs. Music critics are raving over the star. The New York Post recently said her lyrics are on the same level as Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West while music legend Elton John was quoted saying that Lorde's single "Tennis Court" is “one of the most touching, beautiful things on earth. You just open your mouth and wonder.”
Lorde told us, “My music is about being honest & speaking my mind…it's a contrast to the other music in the Top 40.”
