As if Pizza Hut's Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza or KFC's Double Down weren't enough, Burger King is the latest to rack up the extra fat, sugar and calories in it's latest offering: the Bacon Sunday. Image this: you just ate way too many grams of fat and calories chowing down on your triple stacker and onion rings (oh, and let's not forget about the 'diet' soda to wash it all down), now comes desert - a Bacon Sunday! According to the MSNBC article I read, "the salty-sweet dessert clocks in at 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar." Stop and think about that for a second...

I did more than just think about it, I actually went to the Burger King website and had them add it up. Triple Stack, MED Onion Ring, MED Diet Coke and a Bacon Sunday: 1590 calories, 83 grams of fat, 73 grams of sugar. That's a light estimate! How many people actually get a MEDIUM soda or MEDIUM Onion Ring?!?

Here's the real kicker: I'm not blaming Burger King for this, I'm blaming YOU! It's time American's take responsibility for their actions, stop blaming fast food and lead a healthy normal lifestyle. Americans have never been more obese, children are getting diabetes and a host of other diseases earlier and earlier and the cost on society is just beginning to come to light. When will the madness stop?

** Note ** As you can see, the photo I took of their site only reflects the meal since they didn't have the Bacon Sunday on the menu calculator.
