Comments ranged, but the majority of callers seemed to come out in favor of Gianforte's alleged actions, citing that while it might not be the right thing to do, it was a human reaction to the pressure he was put under.

Another common sentiment, held especially by those voters that were on the fence, rued that in this heavily mail-in balloted election, a significant number of votes have already been cast, leaving voters unable to change their mind on election day.
