We hope you guys didn't have cheese for lunch, because Sir Paul McCartney's music video for Destiny, 'Hope for the Future,' is filled with it.

We know the past couple of years have been strange for the music industry. Tupac Shakur made an appearance via hologram for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's performance at the 2012 Coachella concert. Now, Paul McCartney is next to go the "help me Obi Wan Kenobi" route. Wired premiered Paul McCartney's music video for Destiny, 'Hope for the Future', and while the former Beatle is no stranger to music videos, this one is just weird.

The video showcases Destiny's Guardians in various locations throughout the solar system (Mars, Venus, Earth and the Moon), sitting down and watching Paul McCartney perform via a hologram projected by their Ghost robot. This would have been cool if it didn't use the same exact hologram style that R2D2 and Princess Leia did back in 1977 -- blue overtone, flickering and all. We were expecting Count Dooku to show up and tell us that the Republic can't find out about the Sith's secret weapon.

Just as Peter Dinklage's voice performance felt off throughout Destiny, as did this song, and its music video continues the trend. The song itself was just way too overproduced for a talent of McCartney's caliber and the video perpetuates the same "this is supposed to be good, but it doesn't feel like it" level of awkwardness.
